Who we are
PhotoEditWeb (photoeditweb.com) is operated by SoftOptions LLC, a single-member limited liability company in Wyoming, USA.
What the service is
PhotoEditWeb is a set of photo tools that run in your browser: Convert, Resize, Remove background, the editor and Passport photo. The passport tool crops your own photo and checks it against published size rules.
It is software. It is not a government service or a travel service, and we are not affiliated with any government. The automatic checks are guidance only. You are responsible for making sure your photo meets the rules of the document you are applying for. The only promise we make about results is the one in our Refund Policy.
Paid downloads
Some downloads will be paid, at the prices on Pricing. Paid downloads are launching soon.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
A print sheet is a file you print yourself. We don't print or ship anything. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Your photos
You keep ownership of your photos. We process them only to provide the tool you are using. Where that happens, on your device or on our server, is described in our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- use the site to break the law, or to mislead an authority about who you are;
- upload photos you have no right to use;
- send automated or very heavy traffic, or try to break or overload the site or our server.
Our property
The site, its design and its code belong to SoftOptions LLC, except for open-source software and the work of others, which stays under its own licence. Some icons were drawn by others; they are credited on the privacy page.
Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will always work, or that any authority will accept a photo made with it.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, SoftOptions LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a rejected application or lost fees. Our total liability for anything to do with the site is limited to the amount you paid us for the download in question. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA.
Changes to these terms
When the terms change, we update them here and change the date at the top.
